I started off with these guys. They're based in the US which is fine for shoppes and most use cases. Affordable and "greenish".

Flokinet
I've been using Flokinet for years and they've been supurb. TFC had a dedicated server based in Iceland for a while. It was powered by geothermal energy. Next time it'll be in Romania. Both countries have strong privacy and free speech laws. They aren't the cheapest but, if you're running a blog and want to remain anonymous I recommend them.

Neocities
Remember before Web 2.0? This is a modern free static webpage.

Prestashop
I've self-hosted on a "shared web server". This is fantastic software. The Community Open Source version is gratis but, I paid for a theme.

WooCommerce
This is another online shoppe option. I'm not as familiar but, they're probably going to be an option with any shared web hosting or anything that runs WordPress because they make a WP plugin as well. Here is the source code if you want to get involved or self-host.
