Migrating from Bluesky + Alternatives
Oct. 16th, 2025 10:04 pmDon't know if this is the right place to post this, but based on the last few entries I thought I'd share this post from one of my mutuals: elyusion | This Is Not a Paid Advertisement
It's basically a masterpost with information about the AT Protocol (which bsky is based on) and also a bunch of ATProto alternatives that you can migrate to without losing your bluesky data (more info in post). Honestly even if you're not a bsky user I'd still recommend giving it a read 'cause I feel like the more social media goes in the way that it's going, the more spaces like this are needed.

It also now occurred to me: there have been some good conversation at about atproto and wider stuff (leveraging it as a way to have a network of fanworks archives?) and you might be interested in the fandom coders discord & community. There’s also an informally-connected Dreamwidth community https://fancoded.dreamwidth.org
