Find Your Bluesky Friends

This post is especially for those folks coming to Dreamwidth from Bluesky, who may wish to reconnect with other people they know from that venue.

Bluesky is currently facing a bunch of different issues. This is causing many users to leave the platform and seek a new one, some of whom are coming to Dreamwidth. Use the "Introduction / Friending Meme" to say hello and meet new people here.

If you haven't quit Bluesky yet but plan to, then it's a good idea to make a farewell post on Bluesky NOW while you still can. Tell people where else to find you online, whether your account is moving or closing, and any other important details.

Use this post to tell folks that you are on Dreamwidth, what your Bluesky account was, and who you're looking for here that you knew back there. You can use the template in a comment below, on your blog, or anywhere else you find it useful. This one is shorter than the more detailed "Introduction / Friending Meme" is.

It's a good idea to tell people where to find you. The way things are going, I'm not sure I'd call anywhere stable, although some are surely a better bet than others. If you can afford a domain, by all means do so, even if it's just your contact info.
