1) DW lets you lock your journal for yourself only, friends only, individual posts at a different privacy level, or use filters to determine who can see what.

2) You don't have to post personal stuff if you don't want to. Some people just share links to things they like.

I love worldbuilding.

AAAA same!!! i've fiddled with it multiple times throughout my creative life, but this is the most in-depth i've tried to go so far. i'm having a lot of fun with it! still very much in the 1st draft/early stages where i'm a little scattered and overwhelmed by everything i need as a foundation, but it's been a wonderful learning experience!

I have built many settings, in various amounts of detail. A few have some of their notes posted.

A Conflagration of Dragons (scroll down to the bottom)

Daughters of the Apocalypse (setup in the header, notes at the bottom)

"Build with the Mind" is about a worldbuilding class, and at the bottom it has links to notes including resources on worldbuilding and how to run a class or workshop in it.

There are simple and more complex worksheets or guides if you find it easier to check things off a list. I usually just build from the ground up, wherever my starting point is. So with Conflagration it was the Six Races plus the dragons, and with Daughters it was the Grunge and rest of the End.
