About Your Blog
What is your Dreamwidth blog like? Rambling and occasionally writing about my writing or writing fiction. Subject to change, it's still early
How active is it? I post whenever I feel like I have enough to ramble about for a post. Gotta cook up something
How do you feel about crossposting? I don't see why someone shouldn't do it? No personal feelings about it
Is your blog more text-heavy or image-heavy? Text
Do you paste in or link to a lot of audio or video content? Thus far no, but I do love me a good needle drop, so I might start
Is your blog more personal, professional, topical, or a mix? Personal. idk how to be professional
Is it all open, all friendslocked, or somewhere in between? I'd expect I'll keep it pretty open but will friendslock if I feel it's necessary
What kinds of friends would you like to attract to your blog? Other writers would be good? I don't have any particular criteria. If we can have a decent conversation online that's a good sign ig
Your Blog-reading Habits
How often do you check your friends feed? I love clearing out notifications so, frequently
About how much time do you spend reading blogs? Not much so far, but I'll read more if/when I've found more to read
(i cut out a lot of these questions because i just have no real opinion on them tbh)
Currently...
Listening to: random punk rock from the 80s and 90s, and my halloween playlist
Watching: A semi-blind playthrough of Metroid Prime and other videos with BikdipOnABus
Playing games: Splatoon 3, Pokemon Shiny Gold Sigma (romhack), Donkey Kong 64 randomizers
Wondering about: when I'm going to bleach my hair again
Proud of: My first post set in my RPG setting
I'm not great at intros but most of the time I will talk to someone if they talk to me. Don't be shy because I already am
Re: howdy
I'm in central Illinois. :D
>> What are some of your favorite hobbies? Writing, gaming, drawing, listening to music, watching videos <<
Those are all popular on Dreamwidth. You should be able to find other folks who like them here.
>> What books or other written fandoms are you into? Mainly just The Locked Tomb, I should read more <<
You might try looking for books that overlap another of your interests. Or just get on
>> What is your Dreamwidth blog like? Rambling and occasionally writing about my writing or writing fiction. Subject to change, it's still early <<
Lots of folks use recurring posts to organize different topics and maintain activity. If you have several things in mind, that's a thought.
>> Is your blog more personal, professional, topical, or a mix? Personal. idk how to be professional <<
Well, if you're writing about games that you're developing and plan to sell eventually, that's one kind of professional. Mine's a mix. The personal stuff is mostly gardening; the professional the Poetry Fishbowl and other writing-related things.
>> About how much time do you spend reading blogs? Not much so far, but I'll read more if/when I've found more to read <<
